The safety of chiropractic for babies and children was explored in a new Australian Study, the largest of its kind. The results Showed Chiropractic Is Safe For Babies and Children and has Public Support.
This new 2019 study focusing on the safety of chiropractic for babies and children was formed as part of the safer care Victoria review and found ‘This extensive search identified very little evidence of patient harm occurring in Australia. In particular, there were no patient complaints or practitioner notifications that arose from significant harm to a child following spinal manipulation.’
More than 99 per cent of the nearly 27,000 members of the public who participated being supportive of the profession caring for their children. These are people on the ground who have seen first-hand the benefits chiropractic care can provide and have voted.
Australian Chiropractors are highly trained and registered health professionals who provide care to approximately 30,000 children every week, with all available evidence showing that this care is safe, and highly valued by parents.
